Compiler
Overview
PureHELP Compiler is a tool to compile HTML files into CHM help files.
You can :
- use it from the files explorer context menu ;
- or launch PureHELPCompiler.exe directly.
It can :
- compile a HHP project ;
- compile a directory (recursive) ;
- compile a single HTML file.
The tool can automatically create a content file (.HHC) and/or an index file (INDEX.HTML).
How to use it
1. Starting PureHELP Compiler for the first time
Click the [Options] button.
Click the [..] button to set the HTML compiler path.
Click the 'Create context menus' button if you wish to start the
tool from the files explorer.
2. Using PureHELP Compiler from the context menu
Right-click on the file or directory
and choose the 'PureHELP : Compile to CHM' menu.
2.1. You can choose a single HTML file :
If there is more than one HTML file in the directory, you can choose to process the whole directory.
2.2. Or a directory :
If no index file or content file are present, PureHELP Compiler can generate them (use the check boxes).
You can also choose the default topic
file and the name of the compiled CHM help file.
2.3. Or a HHP project file :
When you are ready, click on the 'Compile to CHM button' to create the CHM file.
You can also start PureHELP Compiler directly, and choose the HTML or project file to compile with the [..] button.
